Meditate on one of the Norse/Germanic Gods or Elemental Deities by choosing one aspect of their personality/nature that applies to your life at the moment and thinking about it for at least five minutes per day for thirty days. You may wish to add an element of structured prayer in order to enhance this experience.

As you do this, look around you in your day to day life for items that symbollize this to you. Look everywhere all the time to see how this trait manifests in your life. These can be scraps of paper, pictures, plants, things found on the street, rocks, pretty much there are no limits. Collect these items for thirty days. They can be owned, made, found, or given. If you must buy something, it must be of nominal expense (about US $10 or less).

At the end of the thirty day period, you will use these items to install an altar in a public outdoor space of your choosing (you may not use your yard unless you live in a public place open to the general population). You will leave the altar where it is installed, so anything on the altar might be stolen or taken by anyone.

Be as creative as you would like. Altar Project installations can be urban, rural, suburban, in anywhere from a monument, a subway car, a strip mall, a park, or on top of a mountain. Choose a place that has meaning to you in your general living area.
