Mission:
The 30 Day Altar Project is intended to become a global devotional project lasting between July 2007 and July 2008 that is global in its scope and can be done by anyone who honors Norse/Germanic deities. The goal is to help you reconsider the way you approach the Gods on a day to day basis by creating a public altar made up by simply living your life faithfully and taking the time to see the High Ones' influence all around you. By seeing how others view the High Ones, it may help you to expand your understanding of them. The Gods are
all around us, if only you take the time to look for them. Divine influence can be seen anywhere, and this project aims to capture personal experiences for posterity.
You do not need to be an artist, writer, or high holy person to be part of this. It is open to everyone regardless of spiritual identification label. It is hoped that folks from all over the world and from every walk of life will contribute to the mission. The project itself is being launched as a devotional act to Njord, Father of the Vanir, God of Mediation and Safe Harbors. It is hoped that by viewing a wide range of devotional and personal expressions toward the High Ones, that it will serve as a catalyst to expand and deepen your own faith.
